Trinbago's fifth consecutive win !!

The Three times champion, Trinbago Knight Riders have won for the fifth time in a row in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2020.

 

Trinbago Knight Riders defeated Guyana Amazon Warriors by 7 wickets in a match played on Friday morning. Trinbago is the only unbeaten team after winning five games in a row and is at the top with 10 points. Guyana, who have played six games, are in fourth place with four points after their fourth defeat.

 


Trinbago completed the 113 run target set by Guyana at the Queen's Park Oval in 18.2 overs, losing three wickets. For Trinbago, Tim Seifert remained unbeaten on 39 runs with 4 fours and 1 six off 30 balls. Tion Webster scored 27 runs while Darren Bravo added 26 runs. Guyana's Imran Tahir took 2 wickets.

 

Guyana, who had earlier lost the toss and opted to bat first, lost seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs and scored 112 runs. Shimron Hetmyer and Ross Taylor scored the same 26 runs for Guyana.


Similarly, On Thursday, Mohammed Navi took five wickets where St. Lucia Zouks defeated St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots.

 

Zouks defeated the Patriots by 6 wickets for the fifth consecutive victory. Zouks has won five games in a row since losing to Jamaica Tallawahs in the first game.


The Zouks completed the 111 runs target set by the Patriots with loss of four wickets in 14.4 overs. Najibullah Zadran made 33, Roston Chase made 27 and Rahkeem Cornwall made 26 runs for Zouks. Imran Khan of Patriots took 3 wickets.

 

Earlier, after losing the toss, and batting first, the Patriots lost 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs and scored 110 runs when Ben Dunk made 33 runs. For Zouks, Nabi took 5 wickets for 15 runs in 4 overs. This is the third best space in the history of the CPL and the best individual bowling of Nabi.
