Paul Pogba removed from the French Squad after being tested positive for Corona Virus !!!

The French national team and English club Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has been diagnosed with corona virus infection.

 

Pogba, the 27 year old midfielder, has been tested positive for Covid-19 confirmed the France's head coach Didier Deschamps. Following this, Paul Pogba has now been removed from the France squad for the UEFA Nations Cup.

 

Pogba is currently in England and was spotted with his pregnant wife at a restaurant in London on Saturday. Now, Pogba has been in self-isolation for 14 days after testing positive for Corona virus. He will also miss the Manchester United's precision preparations. 

 

He has been replaced at the last moment by another young player Eduardo Camavinga in Didier Deschamps' squad for facing Sweden and Croatia. Another Frenchman, Tangui Endombele, has also contracted the corona virus and has been ruled out of the France squad. France will be playing against Sweden on September 5 in the first match of the Nations League and against Croatia on September 8.

 

Earlier this week, following a trial on the Greek island of Syros, regarding an altercation with police officers on Mykonos, the Man. United captain Harry Maguire has been found guilty of repeated attempts of bribery, arrest resistance and aggravated assault.

 

Pogba's United teammate Anthony Martial will be returning to the Franch squad and could make his first appearance since 2018 after a strong end to the season. The season saw him score six goals in the final nine Premier League games of the campaign after the restart.

 

Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar that had been linked with a move to Manchester City has also been included after his impressive performances in the Champions League where he led his side to the semifinals.

 

However, Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, City defender Aymeric Laporte along with Sevilla's Jules Kounde have been left out of the squad.
