Nepal signing air agreements with Russia, Finland and Indonesia !!!!
Nepal is now moving ahead with the process of signing air agreements with three more countries. As said by an official, a high level management group meeting of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has decided to speed up the process of signing air agreements with Russia, Finland and Indonesia.
These countries are also willing to sign an agreement with Nepal and the recent meeting's has decided to speed up the process of signing agreements.
The meeting has also formed a committee to facilitate the repatriation campaign of Nepalese in the coming days. At present, passengers returning from abroad do not get tickets for regular flights and even if they do, only expensive tickets are open.
Amid complaints that regular flights are more expensive than chartered flights, the ministry has formed a committee for it's facilitation. This committee will work on the passenger's grievance management.
Representatives of the Ministry, Department of Tourism, Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal and Nepal Tourism Board have been included in the committee. A four member committee has been formed under the coordination of Deputy Secretary at the Ministry of Tourism, Ram Krishna Lamichhane for monitoring and facilitating.
The members of the committee are Surendra Thapa, director of the tourism department, Hirajan Kafle of the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority and Sunil Sharma, the manager of the Nepal Tourism Board.
The meeting also decided to coordinate with all the airlines and warn the airlines through the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) to not exceed the regular air fares and keep it the same as it was before the Covid 19 pandemic.
The committee has been tasked to monitor the airfare for passengers, transportation of the passengers, monitor and support the criteria provided by the hotel, coordinate with other organizations and manage grievances related to the repatriation process.
In the meeting, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has also directed for the completion of the milestones included in the annual action plan of the ministry on time.
