India, the sixth worst hit country by coronavirus after easing lockdown !!!
Though, there has been a steep rise in the coronavirus cases, the malls and restaurants in India have re-opened. India, starting from March 25 has been easing the lockdown.
On Monday, the official data showed the biggest rise in the coronavirus cases.
The streets in India are now very busy and the temples have also been very crowded as the country has now entered the new phase of reopening the lockdown after a 10 week nationwide lockdown.
Different places have now been allowed to open including the restaurants, hotels, shopping centres and the places of worship. However, this has led to a rise in the number of infections.
India is now about to surpass Italy and Spain to be the fifth worst hit country by the coronavirus. On Monday, almost 10,000 new coronavirus cases have been reported in India which is the biggest rise sknce the outbreak began. This is an alarming sign for India,
India has 256,611 confirmed cases after a new spike of 9,983 cases and 7,135 deaths in total, as per the India’s Health Ministry, although the actual number could be higher.
Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India announced a nationwide lockdown on March 25 when India had 657 confirmed cases, that brought Asia’s second largest economy to a virtual standstill.
