President Bartameu has confirmed to resign if Messi publicly announces his stay at the Catalonia club. The pressure has now shifted to Messi. However, he has not spoken on this matter yet.

Barcelona's sporting director Ramon Planes had earlier said in a press conference that they were ready to form a team with Messi at the center. He additionally said that he was trying to keep Messi at the club.
