12 people from the Chennai Super Kings tested positive for Corona Virus !!!

A Chennai Super Kings player, currently in UAE for the Indian Premier League (IPL) has tested positive for corona virus.

 

According to India Today, 12 other people, including a Chennai player have tested positive for corona virus. They were in the UAE to play in the 13th edition of the IPL, scheduled to start in the UAE from September 19.

 

According to India Today, a fast bowler from the team has contracted the virus and is currently in isolation. One of the infected is from the social media team and the other 10 are the support staffs. Now all the infected ones are in self isolation but no any symptoms have been reported yet.

 

The name of the player infected with Corona has not been disclosed yet. The Chennai Super Kings are following all the safety protocols as per the Health Official's.

 

All the eight participating teams for IPL 2020 have now reached the UAE. All players and staff arriving in the UAE will be tested for corona virus and will be compulsorily be required to stay in a hotel quarantine for six days.

 

Kings XI Punjab Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore have already started their training after completing the six day quarantine period.

 

Even after the end of the quarantine period, the start of Chennai Super Kings' training has been delayed due to corona infection. Chennai Super Kings' arrived in the UAE on August 21 and completed their quarantine period which has now been extended for one more week.

 

The IPL is set to take place in the UAE this season after the global epidemic of corona virus began to spread in India. The Indian government has already given permission for this and the UAE Cricket Board will also be helping for the arrangements.

 

However,  the schedule of the tournament has not been made public yet. So far, all we know is that the match between the eventual winners Mumbai Indians and the runners up Chennai Super Kings will be played on September 19.
